|Abstract: ||This research conducted in Mojoduwur, Bendo village pare district, Kediri
– East Java on 1 – 25 june 2006.
The aim of this research was to know the interaction between Parents Age and Sex Ratio to Fertility and Hatchability and can know the best Parents Age and Sex Ratio to hight Fertility and Hatchability.
The material used in this research were 96 Japanese quail ( Coturnix - coturnix japonica) that consist of 72 females and 24 males. This amount divided into 2 definition age that was A1 (45 - 100 days) and A2 (101 - 155 days). Three treatments of Sex Ratio that is B1 (1 : 2), B2 (1 : 3) and B3 (1 : 4). Gathering of egg hatch to be conducted by during 1 week after gathered all eggs located in artificial incubator and incubated 18 days. Parameter the measured was Fertility and Hatchability included eggs into artificial incubator. Research method the used was factorial attempt 2 x 3 which was designed in complete random design ( RAL) and was test on least significant defference (LSD).
The result of the research, it is concluded that Parents Age and Sex Ratio was not interaction to Fertility and Hatchability (P>0,05). Parents Age gived very significant influence to Fertility and Hatchability (P<0,01). The best Parents Age
is A1 (45 – 100 days) with 95,74±3,35% in Fertility and 94,74±3,33% in Hatchability. Sex ratio gived the significant influence to Fertility (P<0,05) and very significant to Hatchability (P<0,01). The best Sex ratio is B1 (1 : 2) with
94,40+ 6,45% in Fertility and 92,44+ 7,07% in Hatchability. The suggestion to next research, the variable must be increase in lavel for the better result.|
