Abstract: This study aims to determine the best treatment combination is the addition of cassava peel in order to increase the ratio of C / N and the addition of inoculum from cow dung (wet) in the production of biogas from tapioca wastewater. Presumably the combination treatment (addition of inoculum, and the addition of cassava peel to increase the ratio of C / N) of tapioca wastewater influence on biogas production. This research was conducted in March-April 2009 using the methods which have been prepared Randomized factorial consisting of two factors. Factor I (the addition of cassava peel in order to increase the ratio C / N) consists of four levels (20, 25, 30, 35) and Factor II (the addition of inoculum from cow dung), which consists of three levels (5%, 10%, 15% ). Obtained data were analyzed using ANOVA and LSD 5%. Determining the best treatment based on the amount of biogas produced at most levels of methane gas and the greatest as well. The results showed that the addition of cassava peel treatments and the addition of inoculum from cow manure provides significantly (α = 0.01) and interaction of both give significant effect. The best treatment combination was obtained by biogas produced from the treatment K4I3 is the addition of cassava peel as much as 35% and 15% inoculum which contained levels of methane gas is 41.218% and the biogas production rate of 103.346 ml / day / liter of tapioca wastewater. Biogas produced has a calorific value of 12.42 kWh which is equivalent to 60 watt lamps are lit 13.5 hours, equivalent to 1.14 liters of diesel oil and fuel wood is also equivalent to as much as 10.35 pounds dry.
